Sir,
With reference to report made yesterday as to a case of
assault by Police Constable 45 on a Chinaman by Vice Admiral Sir Cyprian Bridge, I am directed by the Vice Admiral to say that he will not be able to attend an investigation of the
case at the Police Station this forenoon as he desires to
obtain legal assistanee for the prosecution of the constable,
but that you shall receive a further communication on the
subject as soon as possible.
